"YNK" was written in the most authentic way a pop-punk song can be conceived. The main riff was written with myself and the drummer in a small rehearsal space in Pasadena, CA. We knew this was going to be a good song when the poor quality voice memo recording already had a vibe we were excited about. The idea was taken home which was then finished in the box and then forwarded to their singer where we spent the day recording vocals. We diligently analyzed every take to confirm the message of the song was portrayed as honestly as possible.
